Our response to Consumer Reports' Results

We are so happy that Consumer Reports tested our 2-in-1 Dish Detergent (for hand dishwashing and dishwasher machines) in their May issue. With our top green formula, it set a standard against the other products in performance. However, we were disappointed that Consumer Reports failed to report the correct usage amount and measured it equally against the other brands. The test was of hand dishwashing soaps only - none of which were green and they were all grocery brands. Consumer Reports priced our wash at $1.00 per wash, which when in fact, it prices at only $.08 per hand wash and $.16 per dishwasher load.

While we always respect Consumer Reports' editorial and independent reviews, which we feature on our blog, we were disappointed that the comparison was not measured properly against the other brands.

No other product delivers what The Laundress Dish Detergent does - a non-toxic and non-petroleum derived formula for use in both dishwashing machines and by hand.

See below for the proper usage chart so you can see how efficient our Dish Detergent truly is.
