Coming Clean

It’s spring and that means one thing: It’s time to get the house fresh and get rid of all the winter clutter. But we don’t want to replace our mess with harmful chemicals. Which is why we turned to The Laundress, whose fabulously fragrant, all-green products make household chores a pleasure (really!), to assemble a special spring-cleaning kit just for us.

The kit includes Scented Vinegar (ideal for deodorizing and sanitizing), Surface Cleaner, All-Purpose Cleaning Concentrate (just dilute with water for a fantastic floor, tile, kitchen and bathroom cleaner), Lint-Free Cleaning Cloths and a Kitchen Soap Bar (the only thing we’ve used that really rids our hands of cooking smells), all of which are scented with the brand’s signature 247 scent, a refreshing blend of bergamot, thyme, lavender, musk and ylang ylang and packaged with their understated white and black labels.

A white enamel pail—far, far classier than a plastic bucket—can also be added to the kit. Oh, and don’t be fooled by the small size of the bottles; all of The Laundress products are concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

Both effective and luxurious, The Laundress takes something boring and makes it into a boutique experience. And since we’re talking about scrubbing floors and wiping down countertops, that’s no mean feat.
