I enjoyed this video and would like to ask how to wash vintage silks since some of the old silks tend to have colours that run. That's my problem - how to avoid the colour running when you have a multi-coloured pattern?
We usually see dye in the water even on multi-color but a silk multi-color is usually printed vs. yarn dyed, so dye transfer isn’t an issue. If the piece is dyed - usually seen in solid color piece dye or a tie dye technique, there will be a lot of color in the washing bath. Happy Laundering!
